First lesson always on me!
I am a lifelong, passionate and empathetic educator with six years’ classroom experience and an unshakeable faith in the potential of every student to achieve. I studied Physics at Oxford University and received a PGCE with commendation from the Institute of Education, having trained at Stoke Newington School and the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham. I then worked at a competitive inner-London comprehensive school and now tutor full time.
I adopt varied approaches, building on each student’s strengths and goals, from rigorous exam preparation to unpicking thorny concepts, building confidence, and making abstract ideas relevant to young people. Tutoring sessions can include everything from computer simulations to tangible models, household electronics and even tabletop experiments.
I have had notable success with motivating disengaged students, including those with SEND. Having previously taught in Belarus for four years, I also have extensive experience working with learners with English as an additional language and transitioning from international education systems.
